The fast track project included the renovation of an existing semiconductor test floor area into (2) 3,500 SF and (1) 1160 SF Data Center Modules. The first module included 110 racks at 11 kW per rack. The second module included 107 racks at 11 kW per rack. The third module included 42 racks at 11kW per rack. The design phase was approximately 6 weeks. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scope of services included demolition of existing MEP Systems, extension of the existing chill water services, extension of existing electrical power distribution, and modification of the existing Simplex Grinnell Fire Alarm system. In addition to the 2D AutoCAD drawing package, a BIM model was created in Revit MEP 2010, which helped greatly with coordination and visualization of the project for the entire team.
